  • What is the Helium Coaching Model?

    The Helium Coaching Model is an evidence-based framework designed for HR leaders and People professionals. It combines coaching and mentoring to provide actionable insights and personalized guidance. The model is grounded in organizational and positive psychology, mindfulness practices, adult learning science, and transformational leadership theory. It's specifically tailored to support those who often carry the emotional load of an organization without receiving adequate support themselves.
  • What is my coach's role?

    Your Helium coach serves as a trusted partner, strategic advisor, and confidential guide. Their role is to help you navigate leadership challenges with clarity and confidence. They don't aim to fix you or manage your performance. Instead, they facilitate growth, provide structure and support, draw from research and real-world experience, maintain confidentiality, and evaluate your progress.
  • What happens once I am a client?

    Upon becoming a client, you'll schedule an initial, longer session followed by an assessment. You'll then set measurable goals and determine the level of accountability required. You can schedule 20 or 40-minute sessions with your coach, preferably weekly. After each session, you'll complete a questionnaire. Your coach will conduct mid-week check-ins. Every four weeks, there's an evaluation session to review your progress. After 12 weeks, we'll assess your accomplishments and discuss future steps.
  • How is Helium Coaching different than therapy?

    Helium Coaching differs from therapy in its focus and approach. While therapy often addresses past issues and mental health challenges, our coaching is forward-looking. We help you make decisions, lead effectively, and navigate professional challenges. Our aim is to provide strategies for managing work-related issues such as burnout, difficult conversations, and leadership growth.
  • Who is Helium Coaching for?

    Helium Coaching is designed for professionals in the HR field, regardless of their specific title. This includes those dealing with talent acquisition, employee behavior management, benefits administration, performance and development issues, challenging conversations, and people strategy development. If you're handling these types of responsibilities, our program is tailored for you.
  • Where is Coaching data stored?

    All coaching data is securely stored in CoachAccountable, our dedicated coaching management platform. This includes session notes, goal tracking information, reflection tools, and any additional data shared during coaching. The platform is designed to meet high data privacy and protection standards.
  • Who has access to coaching data?

    Access to coaching data is limited to the individual participant (coachee), their assigned Helium coach, and the Helium leadership team. The leadership team has restricted access for quality assurance, program evaluation, and client impact reporting. Employers and organizational leadership do not have access to individual session content or personal coaching data unless explicitly authorized in writing by the participant.
  • Is coaching confidential?

    Confidentiality is a core principle of Helium Coaching. All coaching conversations are private, and no session notes, personal goals, or discussion content are shared without the participant's explicit, written consent. While organizations may receive aggregated, anonymized reports on general themes and program engagement, these do not include any identifying information.
  • Can participants view their own coaching data?

    Yes, participants have full access to their individual coaching dashboard in CoachAccountable. This includes session records, goal progress tracking, and optional reflection tools. The platform is designed to support ongoing personal development and provide visibility into one's coaching journey.
  • What is the session cancellation policy?

    Our cancellation policy allows for flexibility while ensuring fairness. Sessions can be canceled or rescheduled anytime through CoachAccountable. Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance don't count against your session total. You're allowed one late cancellation or no-show per quarter without penalty. After that, missed or late-canceled sessions are counted as used. For company-sponsored participants, similar rules apply, with the possibility of reporting excessive no-shows to the program administrator.
  • How do I terminate my coaching contract?

    We request all new clients to commit to a 12-week coaching journey to allow time for trust-building and goal exploration. This period aligns with the typical 90 days needed for sustainable behavior change. While we encourage sticking to this commitment, we understand that circumstances can change. If you need to terminate early due to an emergency or unforeseen event, please reach out to discuss a fair solution.
